Medical Camp Conducted at Sunderbani, Rajouri
Rajouri : 06 Sep 2024: In a commendable initiative, The Indian Army has taken a significant step towards uplifting the lives of the local population in remote border areas and organised a free medical camp in villages in and around Malla under “Sehat Sanjeevani Abhiyan”.
The camp aimed to provide much needed medical care and assistance to the residents of these villages which often face challenges in accessing quality health care services. The medical camp was set up by a dedicated team of Indian Army doctors and medical staff, who offered consultations and treatments across various specialties.
In addition to providing medical care, the camp also included free distribution of essential medicines and health supplements, ensuring that the residents receive comprehensive healthcare support. More than 350 villagers, including women, children and elderly availed the services provided at the camp.
The event was met with overwhelming appreciation from the local community, who expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for their continued commitment to welfare of the people living in the border areas. A special focus was given to raising awareness about preventive healthcare measures, with the medical team conducting sessions on hygiene, nutrition and common health issues prevalent in the region.
This initiative is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing mission to enhance the quality of life in border areas, fostering trust and strengthening the bond between the Army and the local population.
