Shamkhan A, a mechanical engineer turned fashion show director, is set to take the helm of the prestigious Miss Universe India pageant. Known for directing renowned pageants and Fashion Weeks across the country, Shamkhan has established himself as a prominent figure in the fashion industry.

After transitioning from a career in engineering to fashion choreography, Shamkhan has worked with major events like Miss India Earth, Miss India International, and Miss India Globe and many more. Now, he is excited to direct the official Miss Universe India Pageant.

When asked about his reaction to directing Miss Universe, Shamkhan said, “I felt it like a dream come true moment. I was waiting for this since years and finally am directing it.”

Though he acknowledged the increased workload and commitment that come with such a significant role, he emphasized that excitement outweighs any pressure he feels. “When you get big opportunities, obviously the workload and commitment also get double, so I felt a little pressure, but excitement is more so pressure cannot be applied.”

Reflecting on his journey, Shamkhan noted the challenges he faced when entering the industry. “I have faced a lot of challenges when I stepped into this industry. Without experience, no one was giving me a chance, so it took time for me to prove myself.”

As the finale approaches on September 22nd, Shamkhan is enthusiastic about creating a memorable event. “I am so excited to make it happen the best!” The pre-finale show is scheduled for September 20th, and he is eager to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Regarding the qualities essential for success in pageantry, Shamkhan listed, “Confidence, poise, grace, communication skills, attitude, skincare, personality, fitness, presentation, and grooming.” He added, “A winning combination of inner strength and outer beauty, along with effective communication—both verbal and non-verbal—is crucial for excelling on the runway.”
