Mega awareness programme organized under SVEEP at Govt HSS Chowki

RAMNAGAR, AUGUST 31: In consonance to the directives of District Election Officer Saloni Rai, a mega awareness programme was organized by the Electoral Registration Officer Ramnagar, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, at Govt HSS Chowki.


The event saw the active participation of around 550 people, including students and local electors, who engaged in various activities designed to promote the importance of inclusive participation in the upcoming elections.


The programme featured a diverse range of activities, including sports events, a plantation drive, cultural performances, skits and a signature campaign. These activities were all centered around the common theme of encouraging every eligible citizen to participate in the electoral process.


As part of the event, students and locals planted approximately 200 saplings in collaboration with the Forest Department, underscoring the dual focus on environmental conservation and an eco-friendly election process.


A seminar session was also conducted, with ten students from the school’s Electoral Literacy Club delivering insightful speeches on the electoral process, highlighting the significance of informed voting.


Additionally, a friendly volleyball match between future voters and new voters was organized to emphasize the importance of voting, educating the participants about their rights and responsibilities as voters.


The event was further enriched by motivational speeches from Bhushan Kumar Pathak, Principal of Higher Secondary School Chowki, Range Officer Bhupinder Baloria, Lecturer Sanjay Malhotra, and other respected local citizens.


Nodal Officer for SVEEP, AC-62 Ramnagar, Rakesh Kumar addressed the gathering, highlighting the collaborative efforts of organizers, attendees and the local community in making the event a success.
