Mega Block Diwas held at 3 blocks of Kulgam

KULGAM, Aug 09: The District Administration Kulgam on Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Kund, Kulgam and D.H Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.

To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over grievance redressal camp at Kulgam.

The grievance redressal programme witnessed participation of people of Toli Nowpora, Laisoo, Hadigam, Kadder, Sangas and other areas.

They apprised the DC about their issues and grievances besides projecting various developmental demands of their areas.

Officers and heads of departments also responded to the queries and grievances of the people pertaining to their departments and intimated people about various welfare schemes and ongoing developmental projects.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot.

He instructed ACD to frame a comprehensive plan to start work on construction of flood protection bund (FPB) at critical spots of River Veshow.

Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kulgam, Mohammad Imran also briefed about the action taken on various grievances and issues raised in previous Block Diwas.
