Mega IEC Camp on Nasha Mukt Abhiyan held at Handwara
KUPWARA, MARCH 27: A Mega IEC camp aimed at promoting the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) was held today at Town Hall Handwara.

The event, focused on raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and addiction, was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, M Rouf Rehman.
The camp saw the participation of officers from Health, ICDS, Revenue Police, Education, Degree Colleges, RDD, Information, Municipal Committee and a large number of people and other stakeholders.
The initiative, which is part of the nationwide movement for a drug-free India, included speeches, interactive sessions, and distribution of informative materials to highlight the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of leading a healthy life.
In his address, ADC stressed the need for community engagement in the fight against drugs and encouraged the youth to stay away from harmful substances. He also emphasized the role of educational institutions, parents, and community members in shaping a drug-free society.
ADC assured that the district administration will continue to work diligently to implement various prevention and rehabilitation programs aimed at curbing drug addiction.
Nodal Officer for NMBA Campaign, Mudassir Ahmad also spoke and briefed the officers and departments about the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Campaign which is set to be launched on April 7th in the district.
Various officers, health experts and scholars also spoke and highlighted the harmful effects of drugs on the society and sensitized the participants about the need for joint efforts in curbing the drug menace from the district.
