Mega voter’s awareness Programme under SVEEP held at GHSS Handwara

HANDWARA, AUGUST 03: A Constituency level Mega awareness programme under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organized today at Govt.Girls Higher Secondary School Handwara.

The awareness programme was presided over by ADC Handwara, Aziz Ahmed Rather who is also ARO of 5- Handwara.

Awareness programme was organised to specifically target and motivate the female voters of the Handwara Sub division for their enthusiastic participation in the upcoming assembly elections.

The theme of the programme was ‘Importance of Vote in Democratic Setup’ and ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure.’

On the occasion, the ADC appreciated the enthusiasm of women voters of Handwara.

He while highlighting the importance of the electoral process in shaping the future of the nation, underlined the importance of voter registration and participation in voting for establishing a vibrant and truly peoples’ democracy where there is accountability and transparency.

He urged the women folk, especially young female voters to enthusiastically participate in elections and contribute to the strengthening of democracy.

Other speakers also highlighted the significance of active participation of the women in the electoral process for betterment of the nation.
