‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’: LMD organises Awareness programme at Gurez

BANDIPORA, AUGUST 11: As part of ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign, an awareness programme in light of Legal Metrology laws was on Friday conducted in the remote area of Gurez tehsil of Bandipora by the Legal Metrology Department, Bandipora.

The programme was conducted to impart awareness among the students and other residents of the area regarding Legal Metrology Laws.

During the programme, a question answer session was also held in which various queries were answered and various fraudulent practices prevalent in the market were explained to the students and other participants. The audience was apprised of the mechanism of lodging complaints with the Department.

Officials of the Legal Metrology Department said that the department has been involved in organising these camps consistently in every nook and corner of the district. They further informed that such camps shall continue to be held in future as per the already framed calendar.
