MIB and NFDC hosts networking get-together with industry stalwarts for a special interaction around IFFI and film bazaar

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) and The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) India hosted an exclusive interaction, bringing together key stakeholders from the Indian film industry to discuss ideas and encourage participation in the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and the Film Bazaar.

This year marks a significant milestone: the 55th IFFI and the 18th Film Bazaar, taking place in vibrant Goa from November 20 to 28 and November 21 to 24, respectively.

Attendees included industry luminaries such as Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Aneez Bazmi, Anil Sharma, Kartik Aryan, Bhushan Kumar, Ekta Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani, Srishti Behl, Vishesh Bhatt, Vivek Krishnani, Kushal Gada, Mahaveer Jain, Amit Rai and Mitakshara Kumar.

key discussions centered around strategies for film bazaar where in makers can establish pavilions at Film Bazaar to explore opportunities for international sales and co-productions. Additionally, they can scout for films within the curated projects showcased at Film Bazaar under various categories like Co-production market, screenwriters lab, work in progress etc. Participation in open buyer-seller meetings was also emphasized as a vital avenue for networking and collaboration in the film industry.

It was a fruitful discussion with all these prolific members of the indian film industry. With their participation, IFFI and film bazaar will definitely get a boost. Our aim is to create an inclusive platform where filmmakers can exchange ideas and inspire one another, ultimately elevating the standards of storytelling and creativity in the industry.

Joining Prithul Kumar were Mrs. Smita Vats Sharma, Director General (West Zone) at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and D. Ramakrishnan, General Manager, NFDC.

The Film Bazaar will highlight over 230 films from India as well as from countries such as the US, UK, Australia, France, Bangladesh, China, UAE, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Germany, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, and Nepal. IFFI will present a remarkable selection of films across various categories, with details to be announced shortly.
