Mission Director reviews implementation of Poshan, other schemes in Rajouri District


RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 22: The Mission Director Poshan J&K on Friday conducted a detailed review of the implementation of the Poshan and other schemes in District Rajouri here at a meeting with Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and supervisors from the seven Poshan projects. The meeting focused on assessing the progress and implementation of different schemes aimed at improving maternal and child health.


Key areas of discussion included the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), updates on the Poshan Tracker system, and the expenditure under critical schemes such as ICDS General, the Supplementary Nutrition Program (SNP), and Poshan Abhiyan.


The session commenced with an introductory note by Fareed Ahmed Kohli, District Program Officer (DPO) Rajouri, who presented an overview of the district’s achievements and challenges in executing these initiatives.


During the meeting, the Mission Director stressed the importance of accurate data reporting, timely disbursement of benefits under PMMVY, and efficient utilization of funds. The officers and supervisors were also urged to enhance monitoring mechanisms for Anganwadi Centers and adopt innovative measures to improve service delivery under the Supplementary Nutrition Program.


The meeting highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to overcome operational challenges and strengthen the implementation of Poshan Abhiyan schemes.
The Mission Director reiterated the government’s commitment to achieving the mission’s objectives and addressing malnutrition across the district.


This review marked another step toward ensuring the effective delivery of nutritional and maternal health services in Rajouri, benefiting women and children at the grassroots level.
