Mission Shakti 4.0: Yogi govt to conduct special programs in 18 districts from Oct 15 to 23
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 14 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the fourth phase of Mission Shakti before the Shardiya Navratri on Saturday.
In alignment with the Yogi government’s commitment to women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment, special programs will be held in 18 districts from October 15 to 23.
“Notably, these districts will have women’s empowerment rallies along with awareness programs. For instance, there will be a Mission Shakti race in the Gorakhpur zone and Ghaziabad commissionerate, and women who have excelled in various fields will be honored in Ayodhya-Moradabad. Public representatives will also be a part of the district campaign,” the CMO said in a press release.
There will be large-scale programs at the district and commissionerate levels from October 15 to 23.
“A Mission Shakti race will be organized on October 15 in Gorakhpur Zone and Ghaziabad Commissionerate. Similarly, awareness programs will be held under Mission Shakti in schools, colleges, and working women’s hostels in Varanasi district of Varanasi Commissionerate and Mathura of Agra Zone on October 16,” the CMO further said.
Moreover, a program is proposed for October 17 to be organized in Meerut and Mirzapur of Varanasi Zone regarding gender equality, the prevention of violence, and providing social dignity to the victim. On October 18, public awareness regarding Mission Shakti will be conducted among women and children in the slums of Prayagraj and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
“On October 19, there will be awareness campaigns to educate women about self-defense and cybercrime in Kanpur Nagar and Bareilly. The Uttar Pradesh government is emphasizing women’s safety, respect, and empowerment in Saharanpur, Meerut, and Devipatan districts, known for their Shaktipeeths (places of worship associated with the goddess). Just as the fourth phase of Mission Shakti began before the Sharadiya Navratri, programs will be held during Navratri itself.
These events for women in Saharanpur, Meerut, and Devipatan districts are organized under the police commissionerate and zone. Saharanpur is in the Meerut zone, and it’s home to the Shaktipeeth of Ma Shakumbhari.
Similarly, there is a program in Mirzapur in the Varanasi zone, which is known for the Shaktipeeth of Ma Vindhyavasini. In Devipatan, located in the Gorakhpur zone and home to Ma Pateshwari’s Shaktipeeth, the focus of the program on the last day is on providing social support to victims.
