MLA, DC conduct tour of Kishtwar Town
KISHTWAR, APRIL 26: Member Legislative Assembly Shagun Parihar along with Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan today conducted a comprehensive tour of various parts of Kishtwar town to assess key civic issues, including drainage, electricity infrastructure, and market regulation.

During the visit, many public delegations met with the MLA and apprised about the critical issues of the town. The MLA asked for the intervention of the District Administration and early redressal.
The DC issued on-spot directions to the Executive Officer, Municipality for the beautification of Gudhali Chowk under the town Beautification plan.
He also instructed the Public Works Department to undertake widening works at Dak Bungalow Chowk and Harra Pond Chowk within two days to facilitate the installation of clock towers at both locations.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the EO Municipality to expedite the preparation and submit the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for drainage works from Hidyal Chowk to Shall Gadi, setting a timeline of one week for submission.
Emphasizing the need for synergy, the DC called for close coordination among all the concerned departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of drainage work.
Additionally, the Power Development Department (PDD) was directed to streamline the town’s electricity infrastructure by removing irregular electrification and ensuring a more organized and safe setup.
Public of the area thanked the MLA for her visit and assured to extend full cooperation in the developmental works.
