Modi Government has failed to deter terrorism: JKPCC Chief
Dangri killings most cowardly act of militants: Bhalla
JAMMU, January 03: Addressing a Press Conference here today JKPCC Chief Shri Vikar Rasool Wani alongwith Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, Rajnish Sharma, Th. Manmohan Singh, Pranav Shagotra, Jahanzaib Sirwal, Sahil Sharma and other senior leaders have strongly condemned the militants attack at Dhangi Village of Rajouri District for two consecutive days in which 6 people including children have been brutally killed and 15 injured which is matter of great concern.
PCC Chief said that Sunday’s attack on three houses in Dangri village of Rajouri district would not have been possible without the support of some sleeper cells. He criticized Pakistan for pursuing a policy of hostility against India and harboring terrorists on its soil and Strongly condemned Pakistan for endangering the lives of people and security forces in JK U.T. They said that Pakistan, which has failed to provide democracy and development to its people, is making every effort to disturb peace in the Jammu and Kashmir UT.
He termed the act of terrorists as most cowardly act in which innocent people and even children were targeted. He said that strict action should be taken against the terrorists responsible for this massacre. He demanded suitable ex-gratia relief to the dependents of the deceased and demanded proper relief to the injured. He said that the UT Government of Jammu and Kashmir has completely failed to stop the perpetrators of such attacks.
Such attacks by terrorists aim at U.T. to terrorize innocent people. Expressing sympathy to the family members of the deceased, Wani prayed to God to rest their soul in peace and give strength to their family members to bear this loss. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Wani urged the Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take strict action against the anti-national forces as well as against the neighbouring country Pakistan so that such acts are not repeated in future.
He appealed to the people of all sections of society not to fall prey to these evil designs of militants and maintain a climate of peace and harmony. Wani also criticized administration for not allowing Raman Bhalla to go to Village Dhangi to meet the victims’ families, yesterday and termed it most unfortunate act of LG Administration.
Condemning the series of brutal civilian killings, Wani alleged that BJP Govt. failed to curb the deteriorating situation in J&K. He said that there were no signs of government on the ground in the UT and the cowardly act of the militants killing innocent civilians had exposed the haughty and supercilious claims of normalcy being trumpeted by the govt after state’s reorganization.
Terming the killings in Rajouri as attack on humanity, he lambasted the BJP govt at the centre and its proxy running in J&K for having grossly failed to respond appropriately to the situation created in the erstwhile State. Things have gone from bad to worse as BJP govt has failed to curb the deteriorating situation in the valley,” Wani took a jibe at the BJP.
Expressing anguish over the prevalent anarchy in J&K, Wani said that that the anti-national and subversive elements had activated themselves to embark on a one point agenda to demolish the essence of co-existence and communal harmony in J&K.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said terrorists organizations were hell bent to create the situation like early 90’s in J&K so as to toe the dictates of the secessionist forces operative in Kashmir. He alleged that the outside bureaucrats ruling the roost in J&K had been superficially drum beating over the return of peace in the valley deliriously oblivious of prevailing tensions. “The BJP govt has neither succeeded in mounting international pressure on rogue Pakistan to declare it a ‘terror state’ nor in providing security to the people which was your prime responsibility.
Mere condemning the hostile neighbour would not absolve you from owing an explanation to the nation over the worst security lapse in the recent times. Stop treating J&K as a workshop. You have failed in your weird experiments on J&K. Prime Minister and Home Minister should immediately resign on moral grounds in the interest of nation and its people”, Bhalla castigated the GOI.
He said that the targeted killings should be condemned at every forum and the miscreants should be identified and booked under the law at the earliest. Since the assurances of ‘Achey Din’ have fallen flat, the government must go, asserted Bhalla.
