Modi govt bestowed true honour upon the Sikh community: Sat Sharma

Inspired by the policy of Narendra Modi government of taking care of all sections and communities and bestowing honour towards their religion and faith, half a dozen young advocates, mostly Sikhs, joined BJP. They were welcomed into the party fold by party president Sat Sharma CA, in presence of party leaders Balbir Ram Rattan, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, S. Amreek Singh, K.L. Sharma, Abhay Mahajan, Dr. Hari Dutt Sharma, Ishant Mahajan and K.K. Digra.

Sat Sharma CA, on this occasion, said that the Modi government has taken historic steps to honor the Sikh community, recognizing its immense contributions to the nation from time to time.

While elaborating, Sat Sharma CA, said that one of the most significant achievements of the Modi government has been the dignified and honourable bringing to India the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from Afghanistan.  Amidst the crisis in Afghanistan, the Modi government ensured the safe return of the holy scriptures, treating them with the utmost reverence and bringing them back through a special flight. This act reaffirmed India’s commitment to safeguarding Sikh religious and cultural heritage worldwide.

Sat Sharma further said that the government also took a landmark decision by declaring ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ on December 26 in memory of four Sahibzade, the brave sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who sacrificed their lives for their faith. This recognition ensures that future generations remember their unparalleled courage and devotion.

“Another major initiative was the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, fulfilling a long-pending demand of Sikhs by allowing them to visit Kartarpur sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan without a visa through the corridor”, Sat Sharma said. He also appreciated the efforts of S. Amrik Singh in motivating the youth in particular to be part of BJP in its journey of nation-making.

S. Amreek Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said that a wave of transformation is visible in the entire length and breadth of UT and the people are very minutely watching the pace of development under PM Narendra Modi. The people are also appreciating various welfare schemes launched by the Modi government which have benefitted every citizen irrespective of his or her region, religion, community.

Advocates Jasmeet Singh Saini, Anmol Singh Saini, Harpreet Singh ‘Peeta’, Viney Kumar Sharma were among those who joined BJP on the occasion.
