Asks Director Mining to resolve the issues of retired officers

Jammu and Kashmir 02 Aug: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, commended the Modi Government for its unwavering commitment to providing justice and equal rights to people of all shades in Jammu and Kashmir.

He made these remarks while interacting with a deputation of Pahari-speaking people at his residence today.

The deputation expressed their gratitude to the Modi Government for addressing their long-pending demands by providing Pahari status and assured full support to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kavinder emphasized that after over 70 years, Pahari-speaking people have finally received the attention and justice they deserve. He acknowledged that there are several communities residing in Jammu and Kashmir who have been deprived of their rightful rights for far too long. However, the Modi Government’s decisive action in abrogating Article 370 from the erstwhile state has ensured equal rights to all communities in the region.

Kavinder said, “The Modi Government has taken historic steps to bring about positive change and inclusivity in Jammu and Kashmir. The abrogation of Article 370 has paved the way for justice and equal opportunities for all the people residing in the region, including the Pahari-speaking community.” He further stated that the Modi Government has shown exceptional dedication in addressing the long-standing grievances and aspirations of various communities, fostering an environment of trust and development. By ensuring equal rights, the government has enabled every citizen to actively participate in the growth and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.

The deputation comprised of Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Zulfikar Ali, Sardar Kafeel Khan, Mandal President Kalaban, Sanjeev Sharma Mandal President Mendhar, Younis Dar Mandal President Mankote, Farooq Magrav Mandal President Balakote, Asif Azad, District Secretary Poonch and Sarpanch Mazeed Bhat.

Meanwhile, a deputation of retired officers from the Coal Mines of Mogla and Kalakote met with the senior BJP leader to discuss their concerns. The retired officers expressed that despite dedicating their entire working lives to the department, they are not receiving pension benefits.

Kavinder Gupta immediately took action and telephonically contacted the Director of the Mining Department. He asked the Director to promptly address the issues raised by the retired officers and ensure that their pension benefits are settled without any further delay.
