While addressing a gathering Sat Sharma said that relying on Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Viswas, Modi Govt has taken many steps for the Welfare and Development of OBCs by extending 27% Reservation in admissions in the Central Education Institutes; e.g. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya as well as Medical and Technical Education Institution and NEET.
Subsequently the Modi Govt taken another big decision for Empowering OBCs of J&K by extending Reservation to OBCs in Panchayats and Urban Local Body Elections, which was available under Panchayati Raj System but the previous Govts denied the same to OBCs.
Previous Govts have denied reservation under OBC category and granted mere 2% reservation under OSC category thus rendering OBC as ineligible for reservation in Panchayats and Municipality Elections.
