MP Er Gulam Ali Khatana reviews developmental scenario in Ramban
Urges officers to work towards uplifting living standard of common man and endorse spirit of social justice
RAMBAN, July 18: Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana today chaired a meeting of the district administration to review the developmental scenario in District Ramban.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat-Ul- Islam; SSP Mohita Sharma; ADDC, Rajinder Sharma; ADC, Harbans Sharma; CPO, Kasturi Lal, DDC members, BDCs, PRIs and other district officers.
The MP took a detailed assessment of the ongoing development projects being executed by the Rural Development Department, Education, ULB, YSS, Health, Jal Shakti, Power Development, Forests, Agriculture and allied departments.
The Deputy Commissioner briefed the MP about the status of developmental programmes being implemented in the district. The MP was also given a thorough presentation on the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) and other beneficiary oriented schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Khatana expressed his satisfaction over the pace of progress on several development works.
Seeking feedback on each project, he called upon the officers to identify the bottlenecks, if any and take necessary corrective measures to achieve set targets in a given time frame.
He urged all the officers to work with a vision to uplift the standard of living of the common masses, especially people belonging to poor sections of the society and endorse the spirit of welfarism and social justice.
He impressed upon the officers to become people friendly and serve them with dedication and compassion.
MP Khatana exhorted the officers to expedite the ongoing works for timely completion and dedication to the public. He also asked the officers to remain available for the people and ensure the genuine and timely redressal of their issues/ demands. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment of enhancing the quality of life of the residents and ensuring holistic development in all aspects of their lives.
The MP reviewed achievements under Swachata Abhiyan and asked EOs of the MCs to ensure door to door collection, segregation and scientific disposal or recycling of the waste. He emphasized on extending adequate benefits to the deserving under Forest Rights Act and other such initiatives of the UT and Union government. The MP, while reviewing the education sector, instructed the officers and the district authorities to ensure the delivery of quality education in all the educational institutions in the district for its future prosperity.
