MSME DFO conducts series of Entrepreneurship Awareness programs in Gurez

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 30: In order to create awareness about the self employment opportunities available  in the service sector, Br MSME Development and Facilitation office Srinagar under Ministry of MSME organized series of Entrepreneurship awareness  programs in Kanzalwan Bagtore and Dawar areas of Gurez region. 

During the programs, participants were made aware about the various self employment schemes of Govt. DIC officials explained the process of applying for the PMEGP Scheme in detail with focus on the service sector. 

Manager J&K Bank also deliberated about the smooth process of availing the benefits under the Scheme.

Mukhtar Ahmad, SDM Gurez said that such awareness programs are necessary as Gurez generally remains cut off for many months. He motivated youth for taking steps towards entrepreneurship, and explained how a successful entrepreneur can be of great help to the region. He  assured complete support from the administration in this direction.

Saheel Alaqband AD MSME said the aim of such programs is to make sure that the people, especially youth of Gurez, should be self employed as there are numerous opportunities available in the service sector. 

He said, tourism has so much to offer for the people of Gurez and they must be made aware about the schemes available with the government. for establishing their own enterprises. He further said, Gurez is becoming the popular tourist destination and will see a huge number of tourists in upcoming years.

He said, such awareness programs shall be conducted by other stakeholders as well in near future in order to ensure maximum out reach of the self employment schemes.

SDM Gurez, Tehsildar Nayil, IPO from DIC Bandipora, Block Manager NRLM, Bank Officials and officers from army were also present during the program.
