Mumbai: 2 children among 3 injured after part of under construction building wall collapses in Dharavi
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 23 (ANI): At least three people, including two children, were injured after a part of the wall of an under-construction building collapsed in the Dharavi area of Mumbai on July 22.
The collapsed wall affected an adjacent residential house, resulting in injuries to a 28-year-old woman, a 9-month-old girl, and a 5-year-old boy.
The injured were identified as Anita Singh, 28, Kiyansh Patwal, 9 months, and Manpreet Singh, 5. They were taken to Sion Hospital for treatment.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), “The incident occurred around 7:19 p.m. at Patra Chawl, Laxmi Baug, on M G Road near the Shiv Sena office following which the injured were immediately taken to the hospital.”

Earlier last week, in a similar incident, a student sustained minor injuries after a wall at a private school in Gujarat’s Vadodara collapsed.
The incident happened around 12:30 pm when the wall of a class on the first floor of Shri Narayan School, located in Vadodara’s Waghodiya Road area, collapsed, said officials.
The fire brigade also reached the spot and inspected it immediately after receiving information about the incident.
