MVD Anantnag conducts Awareness programme at Daksum-Sinthan Top Road

ANANTNAG, JANUARY 19: Targeting the tourist destinations for creating traffic awareness among local and national tourists, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Anantnag today conducted day-long awareness on Daksum- Sinthan Top road.

Pamphlets and Posters depicting road safety measures and tips were distributed among the vehicle owners during the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Anantnag, Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo said that the main motive of reaching out to these kinds of destinations is to sensitize both local and national tourists about the importance of Road Safety.

Dr Zubair further said that road safety is for everyone and being a multidimensional issue, we need to adopt a multi pronged strategy to address this emerging disaster. He said that by following simple rules and regulations of traffic we can prevent the road accidents in our area.

DySP Traffic who was also present on the occasion said that Sinthan Top being the most sought tourist place is seeing a huge footfall of tourists along with Taxicabs who need to follow traffic rules and regulations in order to minimise the road crashes and crash related deaths.
