MVD boosts Road Safety awareness in Doda, Marmat Promotes awareness on various initiatives
DODA FEBRUARY 13: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in Doda, led by ARTO Rajesh Gupta, organized an awareness program on various road safety initiatives, including the Good Samaritan Scheme, Road Accident Victim Funds, Hit-and-Run cases, and SO-653 (All J&K route permit) at Doda.
Officials from MVD Doda enlightened the public about the Good Samaritan Scheme, emphasizing the importance of aiding road accident victims without fear of legal consequences. They also discussed the vital role of Road Accident Victim Funds in providing financial support to those affected.
In line with National Road Safety Month, another awareness camp was conducted in Marmat under the supervision of Inspector MVD Doda Robin Parihar, highlighting the significance of community participation in promoting road safety. Participants were educated about Hit-and-Run cases and the legal ramifications of such incidents.
The program highlighted SO-653, a key regulation aimed at enhancing road safety and traffic management. Participants were urged to proactively assist accident victims and adhere to relevant laws, contributing to a safer road environment for all.
