MVD Budgam organises Painting competition
BUDGAM, November 08: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Budgam today organized a Painting competition in collaboration with The Cardiff School Charari Sharief Budgam as a part of Road Safety programme and awareness.
More than 50 candidates from the institution participated with great fervour and enthusiasm.
Team ARTO Budgam, Director The Cardiff School and other teachers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion MVI, Abid Hussain advised the participants to avoid over speeding, racing, drunken driving, use of mobile phones while driving, wrong overtaking and underage driving to stop loss of precious human lives.
He stressed upon the participants to bear helmet and seat belt while driving two wheeler or four wheeler to avoid fatal injuries.
He also said that the main thrust of the programme was to sensitize the students and masses about the importance of traffic rules and regulations and inculcate the habit of safe driving in future.
Later, at the end of the Painting Competition, three students were given prizes for their performance in the competition. Ariya Jahan Grade 7 grabbed Ist Position, Adeeba Jan Grade 5 grabbed 2nd Position and Shahnaz Amin Grade 7 grabbed 3rd position.
