MVD conducts enforcement drive on Doda-Thatri-Gandoh Road

DODA, June 08 A Team of the Motor Vehicle Department conducted a massive enforcement drive on the Doda-Thatri-Gandoh route and   checked around 120 vehicles the other day.

During the checking, 42 vehicles were issued challans for different violations of the Motor Vehicles Act. As many as 12 vehicles were compounded on the spot by the inspection team and a fine of Rs 11,500 was recovered from them.

The drive specifically targeted overloading and overcharging and was aimed to raise awareness among vehicle operators at Thatri, Batyas, and Gandoh about traffic rules to prevent any unfortunate incidents on the hilly roads.
