MVD conducts massive checking drive in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MAY 31: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, the Motor Vehicle Department in collaboration with District Police today laid a special naka in Udhampur town.

A team headed by Motor Vehicle Inspector, Kamal Kumar seized five modified vehicles under section 39/192 & 190 (ii) and 198 (a) of MV Act 1988.

While sharing the details, ARTO Udhampur, Ramesh Kumar said that a massive checking drive has been launched against the vehicles violating traffic norms. As many as 5 vehicles were seized on the spot by the teams two of which are placed at DC Office Complex and rest three are placed at ARTO Office Udhampur so far.

The ARTO Udhampur cautioned the vehicle operators to strictly adhere to the provisions of the Act failing which they shall be booked under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
