MVD Doda organises Eye checkup, Awareness camp for Transport operators
DODA, June 17: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda, in collaboration with the Health Department and Traffic Police Department, organized an eye checkup camp cum awareness program for drivers at the Bhagwah bus stand.
The primary aim of the program was to generate awareness among transport operators about proper healthcare and address the issues of public concern.
The program focused on creating awareness among the driver community about the importance of healthcare, emphasizing how it can improve their driving skills and prevent mishaps on the road.
During the health checkup camp, Rajesh Gupta, ARTO Doda, highlighted the significance of maintaining the health of drivers and cleaners to ensure quality service to the public.
Recognizing that drivers are the backbone of the transport system, he emphasized the need to prioritize their health and well-being, thereby reducing accidents and incidents on the road.
In addition to the medical checkup camp, the Motor Vehicles Department, in coordination with officers from the Traffic Police and Health Department, also addressed the issuance of licenses and J&K permits to unemployed youth. This aspect of the program aimed to provide information and guidance on the proper procedures for obtaining licenses and permits, promoting a safer and regulated transport system.
