MVD Doda organizes Road Safety Awareness Camp

DODA, JULY 25: The Motor Vehicles Department, Doda organized an awareness camp to educate the public about various road safety schemes.

The event, held under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Rajesh Gupta, aimed to bridge the information gap and ensure that deserving beneficiaries are aware of and can access these vital schemes.

Despite the numerous initiatives like the Hit and Run Scheme, Good Samaritan Scheme, Road Accident Victim Fund, and the Automated Testing Stations (ATS), there has been a noticeable lack of awareness among the general public. This has resulted in many eligible beneficiaries missing out on the benefits intended for them.

During the event, the MVD promoted the road safety awareness and benefits of government schemes to the driving license aspirants in Trial Ground.

ARTO emphasized the necessity of such initiatives, stating that these schemes are designed to protect and assist citizens, but they can only be effective if people are aware of them. We are committed to using all available platforms, including print, electronic and social media, to reach the maximum number of people, he added.

The event was well-received by the attendees, who appreciated the efforts of MVD Doda in making crucial information accessible. The department plans to conduct similar camps and utilize diverse media channels to ensure widespread dissemination of information about these lifesaving schemes.
