MVD Kishtwar organises Medical Camp cum Road Safety Awareness Program
KISHTWAR, AUGUST 08: To promote health and safety of drivers, the Motor Vehicle Department today organized a Free Medical Camp and awareness program here in the Bus Stand Kishtwar.
The event, held under the supervision of Assistant Road Transport Officer Mohammad Saleem, witnessed the presence of Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar, Dr. M Y Mir, who inaugurated the Free Medical Camp besides SHO Kishtwar Abid Bukhari also remained present on the occasion.
Dr. Mir led a team of dedicated medical professionals and eye specialists who diligently attended to more than 150 drivers, providing them with essential health check-ups and consultations.
In tandem with the medical services, a comprehensive General Awareness Program on Road Safety measures was also conducted concurrently.
The program garnered significant participation, with over 300 individuals engaging in discussions and learning about essential safety precautions and practices.
Adding a layer of collective commitment to road safety, a Pledge Ceremony was held at the trial ground under the banner of “MERI MAATI MERA DESH”. The ceremony was attended by more than 80 participants who actively pledged their dedication to fostering safe driving skills and adopting rigorous Road Safety Precautions.
The initiative by the Assistant Road Transport Officer’s Office underscores their commitment to enhancing the overall health and safety of drivers, while also raising awareness about critical road safety protocols. Such endeavors reflect the collaborative effort required to create a safer road environment for all.
