MVD launches awareness Campaign for drivers

SAMBA, January 13: Motor Vehicle Department Samba today launched an awareness campaign for drivers and cleaners at Vijaypur and Samba as a part of ongoing Road Safety Week.

The campaign began with sensitisation and cleanliness of all passenger vehicles of the district.

Stressing on following safety rules, the Team ARTO Samba educated the drivers about the significance of wearing seat-belts; avoiding use of mobile phones, drug consumption and other distractions while driving.

The Drivers were advised to incorporate good driving practices for driving Commercial vehicles. The team also  distributed pamphlets among drivers to raise awareness of road safety. Reflective stickers were affixed on vehicles during the campaign.

ARTO Samba, Rehana Tabassam, MVI Vikas Srivats, MVTA Darshan, other Officials of ARTO Samba, representatives of Transport Unions, and drivers were present on the occasion.
