MVD organises medical, eye check up camp for drivers at Thathri
DODA, JANUARY 4: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda, in collaboration with the Health Department and District Ayush Department, organized a Medical and Eye Check-up Camp today at Thathri.
The event was held under the direction of Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh and supervised by ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, in the presence of MVD Inspector Robin Singh and officials from the Motor Vehicle and Health Departments.
A large number of drivers from the region participated in the initiative, which emphasized the importance of maintaining good health for the driving community. Drivers underwent comprehensive eye checkups and general health screenings, ensuring their fitness for road safety.
Qualified doctors conducted detailed vision tests, providing immediate feedback and recommending corrective measures where necessary. Participants were educated on the critical role of good eyesight in preventing road accidents and ensuring public safety. Doctors gave drivers health tips, highlighting the significance of regular medical checkups for them. After thorough medical check–up the drivers were provided free medicines.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the Motor Vehicle Department and its partners to promote road safety and driver well-being. By prioritizing health and fitness, the event aimed to reduce the risks of accidents caused by impaired vision and poor health among drivers, fostering a safer transportation environment in the district.
