MVD’s Snow Safety campaign gains momentum in Doda
DODA, February 02: To enhance road safety during the winter season, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) has launched a special initiative to promote safe driving amid snowy conditions.
The special drive has been launched on the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh and under the supervision of ARTO Rajesh Gupta.
The initiative forms part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month campaign and focuses specifically on safe driving practices in snowy conditions. The entire event was organised at Malhori DODA national highway
The initiative aims to educate drivers on navigating the challenges posed by snow-covered roads.
The ARTOa emphasized the importance of caution and preparedness, stating, “With winter in full swing, it’s crucial for drivers to adapt their driving habits to ensure everyone’s safety on the roads.”
The initiative includes workshops and awareness campaigns to educate drivers about the specific challenges of driving in snow, such as reduced visibility and slippery surfaces. The MVD is providing practical tips on safe driving in snowy conditions, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe distance, using winter tires, and driving at reduced speeds.
Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, expressed optimism about the positive impact of the initiative, stating, “By promoting safe driving practices in snow, we aim to minimize accidents and ensure a secure winter driving experience for all road users.”
