Nagar Van program: Ayuravatika coming up in Vijaypur

SAMBA, September 08: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma today laid the foundation of Ayuravatika (Nagar Vatika) on the forest land in Vijaypur behind AIIMS. He was accompanied by Divisional Forest Officer Samba, Chairman Municipal Council Vijaypur, Corporators, Sarpanch Jakh, Panches and other prominent citizens.
The Ayuravatika has been proposed to be established by J&K Forest Department in its initiative under Nagar Van/Vatika programme. It will be established over an area of 10 Kanal with a path, Solar lights, benches and beautiful trees of multipurpose uses.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Ayuravatika will be a paradise for the Morning Walkers and other citizens of Vijaypur. It will also serve as a resting resort and provide solace for the patients and persons accompanying them to AIIMS.
Moreover, Deputy Commissioner Samba emphasized that this place will act as lungs for Vijaypur town as pollution and other related hazards are increasing day by day.
The Chairman Municipal Council and other prominent persons of Vijaypur thanked Deputy Commissioner Samba and Divisional Forest Officer Samba for this great new innovation.
