Narcotic bid foiled, One Arrested and 40 grams of Heroin  Seized by Police in Pounichack , Jammu

In a significant breakthrough in the ongoing crackdown on drug-related activities, the Domana Police Station has registered a case FIR No. 231/2024 U/Ss 8/21/22/ NDPS Act following the arrest of one individual involved in the illegal possession of narcotics.

The accused person was identified as Sharif Ahmed Sheik S/O Mohd Ramzan Sheik age 27 years R/O village Sheikpura Watnar tehsil Kokernag District Anantnag was apprehended with a substantial quantity of 40 grams in his possession. The arrest comes after a targeted operation by the Jammu Police aimed at curbing the flow of drugs in the region.

Jammu police is actively pursuing further investigations into the case, with a focus on unraveling the broader network of suppliers and distributors that may be linked to the accused and is looking into all angles and the source of this narcotic supply to ensure a thorough crackdown.

The arrest marks a significant step forward in the fight against drug trafficking in the area, with police urging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities that could help curb this growing menace.

The police team of PP Pounichak successfully executed the recovery operation under the strategic leadership of SHO PS Domana. The operation was closely monitored by the SDPO Domana and the Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural Jammu, ensuring meticulous oversight throughout the process.
