Nasha Mukt Abhiyan: Pledge ceremonies held in all Panchayat Halqas of Srinagar
SRINAGAR JUNE 05:- On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad pledge ceremonies were held in all Panchayat Halqas of Srinagar District during Gram Gram Sabhas as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The aim of the pledge ceremonies was to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a sustainable substance abuse free Srinagar.
The pledge was administered during Gram Sabahs held in all Panchayat Halqas of Harwan, Khonmoh, Srinagar and Qamarwari Blocks of the District.
On the occasion, all the participants vowed to stay away from drugs and to make efforts to make Srinagar a drug free District.
Besides, members of DDC, BDC and other PRIs, the programmes were participated by general masses in large numbers.
Speakers on the occasion said that drug addiction is an issue of grave concern, especially among the younger generation and has detrimental impact not only on the individual concerned but on the society as a whole.
During the programmes, people were also sensitized about environmental issues and role of Public in its preservation and protection.
