Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan: District Social Welfare Office Srinagar organizes Sensitization programme on Drug Abuse
SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 23: The District Social Welfare Office, Srinagar, in collaboration with the Govt Degree College (GDC) Women Nawakadal Srinagar conducted a sensitization programme on drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, within the institution here.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of over 200 students/ teachers/ Social Workers.
The programme aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to educate young minds about its far-reaching consequences on individuals, families, and society.
Resource persons delivered insightful presentations, threw light on the causes, effects, and preventive measures related to substance abuse. Their interactive sessions encouraged students to reflect on the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.
A significant highlight of the event was the collective pledge taken by all participants to commit themselves to staying away from drugs and to work as ambassadors of change in their respective communities.
This gesture reinforced the programme’s message of solidarity and determination to combat drug abuse.
