Nation will be indebted to martyrs forever: Dr. Manyal

SAMBA July 26: Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Kargil war belonging to the Ramgarh sector of Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary and former Minister Dr. Devinder Manyal said that the brave sons of the motherland set an example for others by sacrificing their lives for the cause of the nation.

Dr. Devinder Manyal was speaking in a largely attended Kargil Vijay Divas programme organised in memory of Havaldar Kulbir Singh and Sepoy Gurdip Singh Soni at Khour, which falls under the Ramgarh assembly constituency.

Dr. Manyal said that Jammu is a proud land with a large number of families whose sons are serving in army, navy and air force, thus guarding the borders and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens. He said that Kargil war reminds us of the supreme sacrifices of the brave sons of Jammu. They are the real heroes of the country and the nation will be indebted to these martyrs forever

He said that parents of these martyrs too deserve salute and honour.  He also stressed upon the youth in particular to learn lessons from the services of the martyrs and take the pledge to safeguard their motherland at any cost.

The BJP leaders earlier visited the native village of the martyrs, garlanded their portraits, and also had interaction with their family members.

Other BJP leaders who accompanied Dr. Manyal and also paid their tributes, included DDC Chairman Keshav Dutt Sharma, BDC Darshan Singh Choudhary, BJP Kisaan Morcha state president and DDC Sardar Sarabjeet Singh Johal, Mandal President Shamsher Singh, Harbinder Singh and General Secretaries Naveen Sharma and Hazara Singh.
