National Constitution Day Celebrated at SMVDU

REASI, November 26, 2024: National Constitution Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at SMVDU today. The event was attended by attended by faculty, staff and security personnel of the University. The ceremony was led by the Registrar of the University, Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma  The occasion was marked by a
solemn pledge taken by all present to uphold the spirit of the Indian
Constitution.

The pledge reinforced the commitment to democracy, equality, and
justice, values enshrined in the Constitution of India. The celebration served as a
reminder of the Constitution’s importance in shaping the nation’s governance
and preserving the rights and duties of its citizens.

The National Constitution Day is observed every year on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949, a momentous event in the nation’s history.

It is pertinent to mention that on the occasion of Samvidhan Diwas and as part of
the year-long celebrations under the campaign “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara
Swabhmaan” a Preamble Reading Ceremony was also held.
