“National Panchayati Raj Diwas” celebrated in Skurbuchan Block Headquarters of Sub Division Khaltse.

Khaltse, April 25, 2025: The ” National Panchayati Raj Diwas” was celebrated at Skurbuchan Block Headquarter of Sub Division Khaltse. During the celebration of “National Panchayati Raj Diwas” a successful plantation drive was organized at the Skurbuchan Block Headquarters, yesterday on April 24, 2025. The initiative focused on planting a variety of fruit-bearing trees, including apple, apricot, peach, and cherry, along with juniper.

The event saw active participation from the staff of the Block Development Office (Rural Development Department) and dedicated community volunteers. Demonstrating the spirit of “shram dhan”, participants contributed their time and effort to clear debris from the main irrigation channel—an essential task following recent snowfall and heavy rains. This cleanup effort was crucial for restoring smooth water flow and preventing future flooding, reflecting the community’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable water management.

Special attention was given to the careful planting of saplings to ensure their healthy growth.
