National Workshop cum Conference on “ Algebra, Analysis, Topology and Applications-2025”
REASI, March 03: The two-day National Workshop cum Conference on Algebra, Analysis, Topology and Applications-2025 was inaugurated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, on Monday, 3rd March, 2025. The event was organized under the PM Usha scheme.



The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Associate Professor, School of Mathematics, SMVDU and the Coordinator of the program. He provided the audience with the insights into the conference program. Dr. Kumar highlighted that the conference will feature 15 invited talks by the eminent experts from IITs, Central Universities and State Universities across the country. Additionally, there will be more than 50 paper presentations by participants. He also mentioned that a workshop on Cryptography will be conducted during the two-day program. Dr. Kuldip Raj, Associate Professor, Head, School of Mathematics, SMVDU and convener addressed the gathering, reflecting on the department’s progress that how it has flourished over the years. Prof. R. K. Sharma, IIT Delhi, the Guest of Honor, applauded the growth of the School of Mathematics, SMVDU over the years. Prof. Sharma also gave an insightful lecture on cryptography. Prof. Sunil Kumar Wanchoo, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, SMVDU, congratulated the School of Mathematics for frequently organizing such academic events over the years. He encouraged the students to publish their research in high quality journals. Prof. Pragati Kumar (Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU) Chief Guest of the ceremony appreciated the School of Mathematics for conducting such events regularly. Prof. Kumar emphasised that Mathematics is the back bone of all the disciplines and motivated faculty members and Research Scholars to engage in interdisciplinary research. Prof. Kumar also encouraged the organizers to scale up such events to an international level. Finally, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Assistant Professor and coordinator of the event, proposed the vote of thanks.
