National Workshop cum Conference on “ Algebra, Analysis, Topology andApplications-2025”

The two-day National Workshop-cum-Conference on “Algebra, Analysis, Topology and Applications-2025” was organized by School of Mathematics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University during March 3-4, 2025.

The event was sponsored by PM Usha scheme. This Workshop-cum-Conference has truly lived up to its vision of fostering collaboration, sharing groundbreaking ideas and advancing research. The prestigious event brought together eminent researchers and renowned academicians to discuss applications of various mathematical concepts including Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, Cryptography, Topology and Soft Computing.

During this two-day event, the experts discussed innovations in these fields. Among the eminent speakers Prof. R.K. Sharma, IIT Delhi, Prof. Gauree Shanker, CU Punjab, Prof. Hemen Dutta, Gauhati University, Prof. Sartaj Ul Hassan, IIT, Jammu, Prof. Romesh Kumar, University of Jammu, Prof. K.S. Charak, University of Jammu, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sharma, CU Jammu, Prof. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Punjabi University, Patiala and Prof. Uday Pratap Singh, CU Jammu delivered their invited talks.  Participants from various institutions shared their research through oral presentations.

Additionally, a workshop on “Research and Cryptography: Generating New Ideas” was conducted. Prof. Varun Shukla, Allenhouse Institute of Technology, Kanpur was the resource person for this workshop. Prof. Shukla, firstly explained the basics of cryptography to the audience and then demonstrated how cryptography can be used to generate new ideas and innovations in security and in other various fields of Science and Technology. Dr Kuldip Raj, Associate Professor (Head, School of Mathematics) and Convener of the event thanked all the participants of the conference for their active presence and congratulated all the volunteers of the School of Mathematics.

Dr Rakesh Kumar and Dr Sandeep Sharma were also present at the event. During this conference, the other faculty members of the School of Mathematics, SMVDU, Prof. V.K. Bhatt, Prof. A.K. Das, Dr. Surender Singh, Dr. Sandeep Boughal, Dr. Abhishek Singh, Dr. Himani Arora and Dr. Vivek Kumar were also present. Dr. Sunny Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Mathematics and Organizing Secretary, presented a detailed report of the two-day Workshop-cum-Conference. Finally, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma Assistant Professor, School of Mathematics and Organizing Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
