People eagerly awaits formation of NC led popular govt in J&K: Babu Rampaul

JAMMU Jan, 02 : The National Conference is committed to ensure peace, progress, prosperity, stability and equality among all the sections of the society in Jammu and  Kashmir. It was said by former Minister and President Central Zone (Jammu, Samba, Kathua) Babu Rampaul while addressing a meeting at Old City in Jammu which was organized by Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District Urban Dr Vikas Sharma.

While speaking on the occasion Babu Ram Paul said that Sher-e-Kashmir late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was a great and visionary leader who throughout his life fought for social justice & welfare of the weaker and downtrodden sections of the society. He said that Sher-e-Kashmir always stressed upon communal harmony and integration of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir besides equality among all sections of the society. “Similarly Dr.Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah carried forward the legacy of Sher-e-Kashmir with same spirit and dedication” Ram Paul added.

Castigating the anti youth policies of the present Government, he pointed out that during the NC rule, adequate opportunities for employment were provided to the youth on equal footings both for Jammu and Kashmir educated unemployed youth through SSRB and JK PSC.

Babu Rampal also said that the graph of unemployment has increased tremendously with the passage of time and the youth is diverting towards use of drugs out of desperation and utter frustration due to policy paralysis and deep rooted corruption in every fabric of the Govt system, he rued.

He further said NC had always worked to provide more and more employment opportunities to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

He further said that the present dispensation has failed on all fronts and the common man is the worst sufferer. He said that inflation is all time high, prices of essential commodities including medicines are skyrocketing. “The prices of petroleum products including cooking gas have also increased manifold”, he added.

He assured the people that once voted to power, NC will bring justice for the youth and the commoners. He said that elections in J&K can be held anytime and urged the party cadres to work with dedication to strengthen the party at grass root level.

Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC, reiterated the party’s stand with respect to restoration of statehood with full powers to address the aspirations of people. He mentioned that people have suffered a lot during the last three and half years especially after the abrogation of Article 370, bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir and downgraded of State to a Union Territory. He also said that NC is fighting and will continue its fight till restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
