NC committed to peace, prosperity & equality in J&K: Babu Rampaul

‘Youth, business community frustrated under Present regime’: Former Minister

Jammu: 03-09-23: National Conference is committed to ensure peace, progress, prosperity, stability and equality among all the sections of the society in Jammu and Kashmir, said former Minister and President Central Zone (Jammu, Samba, Kathua) Babu Rampaul while addressing a meeting at Old City. The meeting was organized by Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) Dr Vikas Sharma.

While speaking on the occasion, Babu Rampaul urged upon the youth to get ready for playing a vital role to bring change.  He said that the present scenario of J&K has pushed the youth towards depression and anxiety as they are worried about their future presently looming in darkness.

“Unemployment among youth has also impacted the life of the educated youth who are concerned about their career for which their parents are in a doldrums and deeply worried about their children”, he added.

Former Minister criticised the stoppage of ‘Darbar Move’ practice as immoral by the government because it has adversely affected the business community. “The business community, small traders and commoners are all suffering due to policy paralysis and deep rooted corruption at all levels.

Referring to serious threat to J&K lands from the outsiders with the active patronage of the double engine government, Rampaul recalled the landmark Land Reforms Act brought in by the National Conference under the towering leadership of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah, making the poor and landless masters of holdings overnight at the mutation of just rupees two.How can these poor people part with their precious lands, he asked.

Lauding the pro-people work done during the NC rule, he said that his party leadership knew the ground realities and framed the policies in such a way that people of J&K irrespective of region, religion, caste and creed benefited equally.

“NC reads the pulse of people in the true sense of the term but the present government took all decisions in a hasty manner just to fulfill their political agenda,” he added.

“The law and order situation has deteriorated, the business community is incurring losses, unemployment rate is highest in the country, corruption and scams are happening everywhere, administrators & bureaucrats are not being held accountable. This is the state of affairs in J&K,” Rampaul said.

Ultimately, He asked the party workers of J&K to remain united and work with zeal and dedication for ensuring the welfare of the common masses of J&K and to strengthen the JKNC party at the grass root levels.
