NC committed to protect Constitution of India: Vijay Lochan
Guarantees constitutional & socio-economic rights of weaker sections
Kathua June 25th: In a significant display of commitment towards the upliftment of weaker sections of society, Vijay Lochan, Chairman of the JKNC SC Cell, reaffirmed the National Conference’s dedication to protect the Constitution of India and ensuring the socio-economic progress of marginalized communities.
He made these remarks while addressing a day-long convention organized by the Party’s District Committee Kathua Urban.
The meeting commenced with Ajit Kumar, District President of Kathua Urban, briefing senior Party functionaries about the numerous challenges faced by the Border dewellers and the weaker sections of society. His detailed presentation set the stage for a comprehensive discussion on strategies to address these pressing issues.
Addressing the party workers, Vijay Lochan highlighted that the recent Lok Sabha poll results have significantly bolstered the morale of the party cadre, serving as a clear testament to the people’s faith and confidence in the National Conference’s leadership and its agenda for the state. He emphasized that this renewed vigor should be harnessed to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
“The aim of today’s meeting is to deliberate on election strategies aimed at securing the best possible outcomes for the party,” Lochan stated. He called on the party cadre to mobilize efforts to secure victories, particularly in the reserved seats within district Kathua. He urged them to ensure that the National Conference’s key achievements and future plans are effectively communicated to the electorate.
The Senior NC leader underscored that the people have high expectations from the National Conference, highlighting the Party’s responsibility to fully address their aspirations. He assured that if the NC is voted into power, it will steadfastly work towards empowering the weaker sections of society, in line with the Constitution of India as envisioned by Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
Vijay Lochan reiterated the National Conference’s commitment to social justice and equality, serving as a rallying call for party members to dedicate themselves to the upcoming electoral challenges with renewed enthusiasm and resolve.
Subash Chander Azad, District President of JKNC SC Cell, assured the senior functionaries of the Party of his unwavering commitment to ensure victor of Party in the reserved seats in district Kathua. He emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement and promised to strengthen the party’s presence in the district.

He called for collective efforts to ensure success in the upcoming Assembly elections, urging party members to work tirelessly to secure a decisive victory for the National Conference in Kathua.
Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone and K.K Bakshi District Secretary Kathua Urban, asked party workers to strengthen the hands of Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah. They emphasized the need for unity and collective effort in bolstering the party’s leadership. They urged members to actively participate in outreach programs and community initiatives to build a robust support base.
