NC Committed to protect J&k’s cultural diversity: Rattan Lal Gupta

JAMMU August 19^th – Mr Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu Province said that National Conference has always been a great advocate of secularism and will continue to do so. We don’t need lessons of secularism from others. He said that in the forthcoming elections, people of Jammu have made up their minds to teach the BJP and its cronies a lesson of their life.

Prominent and social activists on Saturday joined National Conference from Bani Constituency at Sher –e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu and pledged to work towards strengthening the bonds of amity and inclusiveness, the cherished agenda of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. While joining the party in presence of Provincial President Jammu Province Mr  Rattan Lal Gupta and other senior leaders.

Welcoming Prominent and social activists into the party fold, Mr Rattan Lal Gupta said that National Conference is the only party in the J&K that has withstood test of times even during most difficult times and kept the flag of secularism aloft.

Mr Rattan Lal Gupta expressed the hope that all right minded people will come together and strengthen secular forces to foil the machinations of divisive elements, who were creating wedge between various segments of society. “These elements will never succeed in their nefarious designs”, he said and hoped their polarizing tactics will fall flat before the strong will of the people, who stand for peace, tranquility and regional unity.

Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary Jammu hoped that the joining of the party will be further strengthened at the gross root level.

Those who joined the party fold include:- Rattan Chand Kalandri Rtd Head master, Ajit Kumar Sharma Ex- Sarpanch  Halqa Banjal, Puneet Gupta Journalist and Ragunandan. They pledged to carry forward the mission of National Conference in transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a peaceful and progressive State with devotion and dedication.
