Ram Paul calls upon youth to bring about change in J&k
JAMMU, March 13: A public meeting was today organized by the Central Zone, JKNC at village Majua of Jammu district, Zonal President and Former Minister Babu Ram Paul, was the Chief Guest.
The meeting was organized by Dr Vikas Sharma Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary Central Zone JKNC, which was attended by a large number of people. Whereas Amreesh Sharma Zonal Vice-President JKNC and Bharat Bhushan Zonal Secretary JKNC were guests of honour.
While speaking on the occasion, Babu Rampaul urged upon the youth to get ready for playing a vital role to bring change. He said that the present scenario of Jammu and Kashmir has pushed the youth towards depression and anxiety as they are worried about their future presently looming in darkness.
“Unemployment among youth has also impacted the life of the educated youth who are concerned about their career for which their parents are in a doldrums and deeply worried about their children”, Ram Paul added.
He gave a call to youth of the region to come out of their comfort zones and launch a struggle for their rights under the banner of the National Conference.
He further said that the present dispensation has failed on all fronts and the common man is the worst sufferer. He said that inflation is all time high, prices of essential commodities including medicines are skyrocketing. “The prices of petroleum products including cooking gas have also increased manifold”, he added.
He criticised the stoppage of ‘Darbar Move’ practice as immoral by the government because it has adversely affected the business community.
Babu Rampaul while making comparative study of the regime of JKNC especially Sher-E-Kashmir Jb.Sheikh Mohd.Abdullah, Dr.Farooq Abdullah, Jb. Omar Abdullah in which slew of measures were taken for the welfare of the people of J&K. He assured the people that once voted to power, NC will bring justice for the youth and the commoners.
Zonal Secretary JKNC, Dr Vikas Sharma while speaking on the occasion said that National Conference has always worked for the downtrodden section of the society and believes in equality, communal brotherhood and justice for all. He said that those spreading communalism will never succeed as the people have now realized their agenda and motive, he emphasized appealing the people to beware of such nefarious forces having communal agenda.
Zonal Vice-President JKNC, Amreesh Sharma also addressed the gathering and appealed to the govt. to fill all the vacant posts in all the departments of J&K administration on fast track basis and also demanded that the govt. should give preference to local youth in the government jobs on the pattern being followed in Ladakh territory.
