Babu Rampaul lauds media persons for their untiring approach

Jammu: :On the eve of Lohri festival, Dr Vikas Sharma, Zonal Secretary JKNC and District Coordinator Jammu (Urban), today organized a function to felicitate the media-persons of Jammu.

Former Minister and President Central Zone (Jammu, Samba & Kathua) JKNC, Babu Rampaul was the chief guest on the occasion Whereas, Ankush Abrol, Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC, was the guest of honor.

Media-persons from different organisations of Jammu were invited to the function. All of them were felicitated by the JKNC leaders and presented with a token of love on the eve of Lohri festivals.

While acknowledging the role played by media-persons in the development of society, Babu Rampaul expressed gratitude to them for working day and night to highlight the plight of people through their respective platforms.

He said that being the fourth pillar of democracy their role assumes more importance as people have high faith in them and expect them to highlight their issues before the administration and government.

Ankush Abrol also lauded the dedication and selfless approach of media persons who work day and night to ensure complete coverage of all the events that happen across Jammu. He also expressed gratitude to them.

Dr Vikas Sharma too lauded them and saluted their dedication. “Media persons brave harsh weather conditions, repression from authorities and several other issues but ensure that all sections of society could get adequate coverage on their platforms which is a highly commendable task.”

At the end, the NC leaders extended Lohri greetings to all the media persons and wished them a great time ahead.
