NC making false statements on Kargil election: Arvind Gupta
For the first time, BJP has registered victory on two seats in the recently held Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil election and it is a major achievement for the party.
Arvind Gupta, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, said this while rebuffing the claim of NC’s Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta, that BJP suffered defeat in Kargil election. He said that the NC lacks proper information about the results of these elections, where BJP has written new political chapter by winning two seats for the first time.
Arvind Gupta added to the knowledge of NC leader that the BJP not only increased its seats to double but also got more votes than the earlier elections in Kagil.
He said that increase in the number of seats and votes are clear indicators that the BJP has strengthened its base in Kargil, which is due to the fact that the people there are convinced by the programmes and policies of the party.
Elaborating on party’s rising performance in Kargil, Arvind Gupta said that in the year 2013, BJP got just 700 votes, which increased to 2500 in 2018 and now in 2023, the party has secured about 11,000 votes, which is a very clear proof that in the three elections mentioned here, the party has gained every time and there is no doubt that it will register victory on more seats by winning more votes in future polls there.
The BJP leader said that the party’s rising graph has, actually, shocked the NC, whose leaders are fearing defeat in future election in Kargil. He said that with each passing day, BJP is getting more and more popular among the people across the J&K and Ladakh UTs and the false and misleading statements will not bear any impact on the morale of the party cadre.
