NC Propaganda cannot conceal Betrayal of people: BJP

JAMMU, April 04: High-intensity propaganda unleashed by the National Conference government regarding fulfilling its poll promises is backfiring. Aimed at manipulating public opinion through techniques like repetition, emotional appeals, and publicity messaging is a not delivering desired result for the government and the party as people remember quite the promises made by NC during the poll campaign and through its manifesto.   Former MLC and spokesperson Girdhari Lal Raina said in his press statement.

Recalling how the National Conference manifesto had promised to” Provide one lac jobs to youth” besides passing “the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Employment Generation Act” within the first three months of government formation. However, there is no sign of keeping this promise made to the youth even after six months of running the government, he stressed.

Similarly, GL Raina reminded that commitment was made to Provide “200 units’ of free electricity” and pay “Rs5000 to female heads of EWS” along with 12 cylinders free of cost per year. Again, NC in its manifesto promised to enhance the old age and widow pension to Rs3000.Instead of keeping its promise NC has betrayed people’s trust

Increasing medical allowance of pensioners and family pensioners from existing Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month was also promised, stressed former MLC. The NC government has failed the citizens of Jammu Kashmir on all these fronts, he added.

Instead of providing relief the people have been overburdened with an increase in petrol and diesel charges that has a cascading impact on the economy in all its forms. GL Raina cautioned people against fake propaganda and demanded relief for the people of Jammu Kashmir particularly from the price rise and asked the NC government to roll back the steep rise in bus fares.
