NC stands nowhere politically today: Dr.Manyal
Jammu and Kashmir 28 Dec: Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary and former minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, while reacting to the self claim of National Conference (NC) that only it can give fight to BJP in upcoming polls, said that the leaders of this party are only surviving on day dreaming. He said that BJP has become PAN India party with largest membership in the world, governments in many states in the country and in power at the centre for the last ten years. On the other hand, NC is only a regional party, with very thin public standing in the UT now and its leaders are projecting it as a big competitor of BJP.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that one cannot understand the logic behind making such claims by NC leaders in Jammu. May be they fears division in their party due to the growing popularity of BJP even in the Valley. He said that there is no doubt that the NC was in power in Jammu and Kashmir for many years after independence, but with the passage of time, this party’s political popularity and hold in the public has come down, Even in Kashmir Valley, it lost its ground fast , due to the reason that NC promoted dynastic politics and adopted appeasement policy. Its love for Pakistan too exposed it and people realised that NC cannot be trusted anymore and should be shown the door.
“While NC has lost its ground in the UT, the BJP, has strengthened itself in entire length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir,” Dr. Manyal said and added that people cannot be misled by false claims as they are more aware of the policies of the political parties in the present era of better and easily accessible different means of communication.
The BJP senior leader expressed hope that the leaders of this regional party would accept the prevailing political environment and digest the stark reality that NC stands nowhere as far as the political graph and strength of BJP is concerned.
