NC will bounce back to power with heavy majority: Rattan Lal Gupta
Only NC guarantees for peace, prosperity, land rights, jobs to local youths
UDHAMPUR, June 29: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President J&K National Conference expressed strong confidence in his Party’s return to power in Jammu and Kashmir, citing widespread public support and the recent performance in the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing a day-long convention of party workers and functionaries of District Udhampur Urban, the senior NC leader said that the Party will bounce back to power in J&K with a heavy majority in the ensuing Assembly elections. The convention was held under the chairmanship of Sunil Verma, District President JKNC Udhampur while Rattan Lal Gupta was the chief guest.
While presenting welcome address, Sunil Verma, District President highlighted the utter neglect which the far flung areas of the region have been confronting under the present regime steered by BJP leadership. He said that people facing hardships due to the phlegmatic attitude of the government have been eagerly waiting for Assembly polls to bring back the NC Government, which has an exemplary track record of ensuring public welfare and excellent governance.
The NC stalwart leader criticized the BJP leadership for failing to meet the expectations of the people, which he claimed has resulted in the saffron party’s diminished vote share. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have been deeply disappointed by the BJP leadership. The promises made by the BJP have remained unfulfilled, leading to a significant decrease in their vote share in the recently held Lok Sabha elections”, he said adding that BJP knew its fate in the valley, and that was the reason why the party did not field any candidates. “This is a clear indication of BJP’s dwindling support and their acknowledgment of the people’s discontent”, he maintained.
The Provincial President highlighted the overwhelming response received by the National Conference during the Lok Sabha elections, attributing it to his party’s longstanding commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “NC has always been the voice of the people, and this was evident in the enthusiastic support which the party has received during the Lok Sabha elections”, he said adding that NC is looking ahead to the forthcoming Assembly polls with strong optimism as all the factors are hinting for its bright prospects.
“NC leadership is confident of securing a thumping majority in the upcoming Assembly elections. The people have placed their trust in the party, and the NC leadership is all set to deliver its promises”, he said, assuring if the NC voted in power the main focus would be on key areas such as employment, peace, prosperity, better delivery of civic facilities, education sector, medical sector and communication. We are committed to creating a brighter future for all residents of J&K”, he asserted.
Pardeep Bali Provincial Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), made a fervent appeal to the people, urging them not to succumb to the divisive agenda of the BJP. He emphasized the importance of maintaining brotherhood and harmony among all communities.
Vijay Lochan, Chairman of the SC Cell of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, described the tenure of the current regime as the darkest era for weaker sections. He emphasized that there is no one in the power corridors willing to listen to or address their plight, leaving these communities neglected and unheard.
Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone and Akash Verma District President Udhampur Urban YNC highlighted the need for unity and called on the populace to strengthen the hands of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah in their efforts to lead the region towards peace and progress. They stressed that only through collective support and solidarity can the community overcome challenges and ensure a better future for everyone.
On this occasion Prominent BJP, Panther and Congress Party’s leaders/ workers joined National Conference. The prominent names are Hazi Ch. Mohd Bashir, Ashok Kumar, Madan Lal, Sachin Atri, Ram Kumar, Raj Ali, Ch. Dullah, Puran Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Sahil Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Nikil Verma, Mansa Ram, Ram Lal, Yashpal Singh and Babu Singh.
