NCC unit of GCW Udhampur observes World Health Day
UDHAMPUR, April 07: To mark World Health Day, the NCC cadets of Government College for Women Udhampur, under the aegis of G-20, organised a slogan writing competition with the World Health Organisation’s theme “Health for All”.
As many as 30 NCC cadets participated in the competition and expressed their views regarding health and wellbeing. Principal of the college, Dr Monika Sharma applauded the efforts of the cadets and motivated them to participate in more such activities.
The slogans were evaluated on the basis of originality of content and presentation skills by a jury consisting of Tania Akhtar, Head of Department (HOD) English; Mohan Galgotra, HOD Education; and Roopa Kumari, Assistant Professor of Education.
Cadet Palvi Sharma won first prize, while Cadet Rubeena and Cadet Meenakshi won second and third prize respectively. Cadets Priya, Anjali and Kritika Thakur received consolation prizes.
The event was coordinated by NCC Caretaker Shallu Jasrotia, who appreciated the cadets for their active participation.
