NCM Member engages with representatives of minority communities in Gulmarg
GULMARG, NOVEMBER 29: Member, National Commission for Minorities (NCM), Dhanya Kumar Jinappa Gunde today visited Gulmarg to engage with representatives of minority communities.
The visit was aimed to address concerns of minority communities and deliberate on effective implementation of government welfare schemes for them.
During the meeting, Gunde attentively listened to the grievances and demands raised by community representatives and assured them of necessary actions to resolve their issues. He underlined the government’s commitment to welfare of minorities and highlighted about ongoing initiatives for the benefit of these communities.
He urged all stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure seamless execution of development programs and schemes designed to benefit religious minorities.
The meeting was also attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi; District Social Welfare Office Baramulla, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Tangmarg and other officials from the Social Welfare Department. The officers informed the Member NCM on progress on implementation of various schemes and pledged their continued support for minority welfare in the region.
